LeAnne Sawyers is an oil and pastel artist living in the Washington DC area. She paints primarily from photos of images that catch her eye on walks in the woods and visits to new and favorite places.
She has studied drawing, pastel and oil painting in numerous classes and workshops at The Art Institute of Chicago, The Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo, MD and The Compass Atelier in Rockville, MD.
She currently serves on the board of Painters Compass, a non-profit organization dedicated to making the art of painting accessible to all.
